A civil defense training dedicated to the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s memory

According to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s Decree dated September 29, 2022, about declaration of 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev", anniversary events are ongoing by the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency "Azersu" OJSC. A facility civil defense training dedicated to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s memory was held in the Jeyranbatan Water Purifying  Facilities Complex on the topic "Organization of the management of civil defense bodies and forces during the elimination of the consequences of emergency incidents". In total, 70 people were involved in the training.

First, the participants of the event visited the corner of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to the national leader. Jahangir Sharifov, head of the civil defense headquarters of "Azersu" OJSC, the head of the exercise, said that during all the periods when National Leader Heydar Aliyev led Azerbaijan, he paid special attention to ensuring the safe life and activities of our people. Heydar Aliyev, the author of the opinion "It is easier to prevent an incident than to eliminate its consequences", an outstanding statesman, paid great attention to the improvement and development of the civil defense system of our country.

    Sharifov said that the purpose of conducting the facility civil defense training is to teach the rules of operation when carrying out protection work and other civil defense measures in emergency situations, to improve the decision-making ability of the management team and the mutual activity of civil defense units when performing rescue and other urgent tasks.

In the course of the training, the civil defense forces performed tasks related to protecting the area where an emergency occurred, restricting access to the area, extinguishing the fire, rescuing the poisoned people, search and rescue, providing first aid to the victims and evacuating employees to safe areas. In the course of the training, the mutual activity of the civil defense units was successfully organized and the set goals were achieved.

 At the end, the results of the training was analyzed, and relevant recommendations were given to the commander-in-chief and personnel of the civil defense units.
