“Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in the city of Guba”

     The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in the city of Guba” had been funded with the state budget. The project is estimated to improve 46000 residents’ drinking water supply and sewerage systems considering perspective development by 2035.

The Project was launched in September 2011. To provide Guba city and surrounding provinces with drinking water a drainage water intake facility with a capacity of 200 liters per second and 2435 meters length was constructed and 2 transmission mains with a length of 6450 were laid in Gudyalchay’s bed.

Within the project, four water reservoirs with a total capacity of 14,000 cubic meters, 190 km of drinking water, 130 km of sewerage networks were built in Guba, each house was merged to the network and meters were installed for each subscriber. A new administrative building was built for the Guba Sukanal Office according to the project.

Implementation of the project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Guba was completed in 2013. The opening ceremony of the project was held on September 18, 2013 with President Ilham Aliyev’s participation. At present all urban population is provided with continuous drinking water.

    Wastewater generated in the city will be purified at the wastewater treatment plant constructed in the territory of Khachmaz with productivity of 20000 cubic meters per day and discharged.

 

 “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Hajigabul "

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Hajigabul” was realized at the expense of the state budget. The project is estimated to improve 30000 people’s drinking water supply and sanitation services considering perspective development by 2035.

 The reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Hajigabul project was launched in September of 2011. The Shirvan-Mugan group water pipeline was selected as the water source of the city.

To provide Hajigabul with sustainable water 2 water reservoirs with a total capacity of 7500 cubic meters and 8.8 km of transmission main was built. 115 km of drinking water network was established in the city, counters were set up for each subscriber. At present all urban population is provided with continuous drinking water. Within the project, drinking water was provided to Gubali Baloglan village with 3,000 residents. On April 16, 2013, a ceremony for the drinking water supply from the Shirvan-Mughan water pipeline to Hajigabul was held with the President Ilham Aliyev’s participation.

A 26-kilometers part of the 110-km sewage system was built in the city of Hajigabul. Waste water generated in the city will be treated and disposed at a wastewater treatment facility with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters per day, to be built for Shirvan and Hajigabul cities. 

 

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in city of Imishli” 

     The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Imishli” is implemented at the expense of state budget. The project is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage services of 49000 users in the city considering perspective development by 2035.

The project implementation was launched in September 2011. Sub-artesian wells (total productivity 10300m/ a day) in the Ashigallar village of Beylagan region were selected as a source to supply Imishli and its surrounding villages with drinking water. 31 km of transmission main was laid from the water source to the city of Imishli.

Two water reservoirs with capacity of 5000 and 1500 cubic meters were constructed in Imishli city and on October 28, 2012 a ceremony of commissioning of a water reservoir complex in Imishli was held with President Ilham Aliyev’s participation.

According to the project, 168 km of drinking water network was built in the city, counters were installed and each subscriber was given a merger. The 9 km section of the 141-kilometer sewerage network was built. Water supply to Yalavac village near the city center has also been provided within the project.


The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Shamkir”

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Shamkir” is realized at the expense of the state budget. “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system of Shamkir” is calculated for improvement of water supply and sewerage services of 47 thousand people taking into account the perspective development and growth by 2035.

 Construction work was launched in October, 2011. At the initial stage, a new drainage system was built in the basin of Jayir River, 15 km transmission main and the lines between tanks were built. Four new reservoirs with a total capacity of 7,000 cubic meters were constructed and 2 existing reservoirs were repaired. A ceremony for drinking water supply to the city of Shamkir was held with the President Ilham Aliyev’s participation on September 10, 2013.

In the city of Shamkir, 251 km of intra-city water network was built, subscribers were given house connection and meters were installed.

To provide Shamkir city with stable drinking water a 16.5 kilometers-long transmission main was built from Shamkirchay water treatment plant to the city in 2015. Water has already been supplied to the city from this source.

225 km of waste water lines have been built in the city of Shamkir. Wastewater generated in the city will be purified and discharged in the wastewater treatment plant with the capacity of 10000 cubic meters per day constructed outside the city.

  

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Mingachevir”

 The project on reconstruction of drinking water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Mingachevir city was launched in October 2011 under the state program of socio-economic development of regions approved by President Ilham Aliyev. The project, which is being implemented at the expense of the state budget, has been calculated to improve 151000 resident’s drinking water and sanitation services in Mingachevir, with perspective development up to 2035.    

Mingachevir reservoir was selected as a source to supply Mingachevir with drinking water, and a modern water treatment facility was designed nearby. At the initial stage, a main carrier belt with a length of 800 mm and a 721 meter-long pipe was constructed in the lake to deliver the water to the purifier. The location of the cleaning device has been selected so that even if the water level in the lake will be drop to a minimum, the water will be transferred to facility in a self-flowing regime.

To provide consumers with quality drinking water, a modern type sand filter treatment plant with capacity of 55,000 cubic meters per day or 636 liters per second had been built near Mingachevir at 55 meters above sea level. Here, water purification is carried out without the use of any chemical reagents and its quality indicators fully comply with the standards of the World Health Organization. The processing here is fully automated and operated from a single center with the SCADA system. It is automatically controlled with the help of sensors to the input and output parameters of the water in the fully operational mode. A pump station with a capacity of 2100 cubic meters per hour located at a height of relief has been installed to deliver fresh water to the water tanks.

A water reservoir with an altitude of 85 meters above sea level was built to optimize the water and distribute it in a self-propelled regime. At present, the treated water is transmitted to the tanks and transferred to the urban network in a self-contained mode.

Construction of 344 km of drinking water network in Mingachevir city was completed and metering work is underway. At present, the urban population, as well as the IDP settlement number 2 are provided with quality drinking water through the newly built network.

On February 27, 2018 President Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony of putting into operation the drinking water supply system in Mingachevir city.

103 km of the 236 km sewerage network and 21 km sewerage collector were built in the city. In order to optimize waste water management, 3 sewage pumping stations with capacity of 1300 cubic meters per hour were installed and put into operation at the initial stage. Waste water to be generated in Mingachevir will be removed to the waste water treatment plant with productivity of 60000 cubic meters of waste per day to be constructed in the Hacıselli village of Yevlakh region.

 

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Zardab”

"The project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Zardab city" is carried out at the expense of the state budget. The project is designed to improve the use of drinking water and sanitation services in the city of Zardab by up to 13500 people, taking into account perspective development until 2035. 

The project was launched in August 2011. Kulullu water source was selected to supply Zardab and its surrounding villages with drinking water. There are 1 water reservoir with a capacity of 5000 cubic meters in each water source and a 73 km transmission main from the tank to Zardab. On October 7, 2012, a ceremony was held for water supply to Zardab with the President Ilham Aliyev’s participation.

A water reservoir with capacity of 2,000 cubic meters, 69 km of drinking water network was built in Zardab, meters were installed for each subscriber.

The 13 km section of intended 58 km sewerage network was built in Zardab. Wastewater generated in Zardab will be cleaned and dumped at the wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 8,000 cubic meters of waste per day constructed outside the city.

 

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Kurdamir”

   The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Kurdamir” is funded at the expense of state budget. The project is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage services of totally 22, 3 thousand people.

    The project implementation was launched in October, 2011. Kulullu water source is selected to provide Kurdamir with uninterrupted and quality drinking water. A water reservoir with a capacity of 7,500 cubic meters at the water source and 26.7 km of transmission main from the reservoir to the city of Kurdamir was constructed in the source. The construction of the 141 km water network planned to be built within the project has been completed, each subscriber has been given a connection and meters have been installed.

   On August 7 2013 a ceremony to supply drinking water to Kurdamir city was held with the President Ilham Aliyev’s participation. At present the entire population of the city is provided with uninterrupted drinking water.

A 24-km of the 115-km sewage network, 1.5-km section of the 6.2-km micro tunnel-type collector had been built in Kurdamir. A waste treatment plant with a capacity of 12,000 cubic meters per day will be constructed to disinfect and dispose of the city's waste water.

 

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Ujar”

   Work on the “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Ujar” was realized at the expense of the state budget. The project is designed to improve access to potable water and sewerage services to 22 thousand people by 2035 taking into account perspective growth.

The project implementation was launched in October 2011. Kulullu water source is chosen to provide Ujar and surrounding villages with drinking water. A water reservoir with a total capacity of 7,500 cubic meters was constructed at the water source and 57 km of main water pipeline from the reservoir to Ujar city.

A water reservoir with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters, 120 km of water networks was built and each subscriber was provided with a home connection and meters were installed in Ujar. In addition, water was also supplied to the Garaybeyli village near the city center and to a part of Karabork village. Under the project, a new and up-to-date administrative building was built for Ujar Sukanal Office.

On October 6, 2015, President Ilham Aliyev attended a ceremony to mark the completion of the Ujar water supply system reconstruction project. At present, the entire population of Ujar is provided with uninterrupted drinking water.

A 22 km section of the 88 km sewage system was built in the city. The city's wastewater will be treated neutralized at the sewage treatment plant that is being built outside the city with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters per day. 

 

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Gakh”

    The “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Gakh” is realized at the expense of the state budget. The project is designed to improve access to potable water and sewerage services to 16 thousand people by 2035 taking into account perspective growth.

 The foundation of the complex was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on 17th of November 2011. In accordance with the project, to provide the consumers with quality and uninterrupted potable water springs located near Ilisu village of Gakh region are used as water source and a water intake facility with 6000 cubic meters capacity was built here. Within the project, 21 km of main and inter-reservoirs water pipelines and 6 water reservoirs with the capacity of 1000 cubic meters each were constructed.

119 km of drinking water networks had been built in Gakh, and subscribers were given a home connection and meters were installed. On August 16, 2013, the ceremony of supplying drinking water to Gakh was held with the President Ilham Aliyev’s participation. The project also provided potable water to the villages of Qakhbash and Gakhingiloy, and improved access to drinking water for over 12,000 residents.

   According to the project, for the first time a sewage system is established in Gakh city. To that end, the construction of the 81 km sewer network is being improved.

The wastewater generated in Gakh will be treated and disposed at the wastewater treatment plant with 4,000-cubic meters capacity/daily projected to be built outside the city.

 

The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system of the city of Lankaran”

  The “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Lankaran” is realized at the expense of the state budget. The project is designed with a view to future development as of 2035 and is intended to improve water and sanitation services provided to 81 thousand people in Lankaran city.

The project implementation was launched in October, 2011. The Khanbulanchay water reservoir was chosen as a source of drinking water for the city of Lankaran and surrounding villages and a water purifying facility with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day was constructed near the reservoir. According to the project, a 10 cubic meter capacity and 23 km-long transmission main were built here.

257 km of water distribution network intended in Lankaran city has been completed, each subscriber was provided with mergers. On September 05, 2013, the ceremony of supplying drinking water to Lankaran city was held with the President Ilham Aliyev’s participation.

19 km of 197 km sewerage network planned to be built in Lankaran city and 1.2 km of 9.7 km of micro tunnel were already constructed. Waste water generated in the city will be treated and disposed at a wastewater treatment facility with a design capacity of 40,000 cubic meters/per day to be built in the future.

Within the project, a part of Goyshaban province of Lenkaran region was provided with potable water.                                                                                                                                                           

 

 The “Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Bilasuvar”

   The “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems in the city of Bilasuvar” was launched at the expense of the state budget. The project is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage services of 23 thousand people in the city taking into account population growth as of 2035.

   The project implementation was launched in 2011. The Shirvan-Mugan group water pipeline was chosen to supply Bilesuvar and surrounding villages with potable water. 2 reservoirs with the capacity of 10000 m3 each was built in Bilasuvar city.

A total of 99 km of drinking water network has been established in Bilasuvar, providing each subscriber with home connection and meters were installed.

   On September 4, 2013 President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony of supplying Bilesuvar with drinking water.

The construction of 92 km of sewerage network in Bilasuvar city is also completed. The wastewater generated in the city will be discharged to the wastewater treatment facility with a capacity of 12,000 cubic meters per day to be built in the future.

 

“The Project on reconstruction of water supply and sewage systems of the city of Shirvan”

The “Project on reconstruction of drinking water supply and sewage systems of the city of Shirvan" is implemented at the expense of the state budget. 90,000 people will benefit from the project implemented in the city of Shirvan, taking into account the perspective development until 2030.

According to the project, the construction of 4 water reservoirs with a total capacity of 19 thousand cubic meters, 7 km of transmission main, 257 km of drinking water and 230 km of waste water network is considered in the city of Shirvan. In the future, a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters per day will be built for the purpose of purifying and neutralizing waste water generated in the city of Shirvan. Waste water of Hajigabul city will also be cleaned and neutralized in this facility.

In July 2013, the supply of drinking water from the Shirvan-Mugan group water pipeline to the city of Shirvan was launched with President Ilham Aliyev’s participation.

In the past, the construction of a new main water line 2 km long in the central part of the city made it possible to transfer water supply to 171 multi-apartment residential buildings. The internal water supply systems of those buildings have been completely rebuilt. On May 1, a 3 km long water pipeline was built in order to supply the streets of Demanli and the so-called "Kohne (Old) City" with drinking water 24 hours a day. Taleh Alakbarov Street, which is located on a high terrain of the city and had been experiencing drinking water problems for many years, was given drinking water for the first time.

New connections from the Shirvan-Mugan group water pipeline have also improved the supply of drinking water to the Khilpagli and Yeni residential areas. A 2 km water line was built from the transmission main to the Yeni (New) residential area and a distribution network was established. At the same time, 6 km of main water line was built in Chilpagli settlement and connected to the existing network.

 

The Project on reconstruction of drinking water supply and sewage systems of Salyan city"

The project on reconstruction of drinking water supply and sewage systems of the city of Salyan is implemented at the expense of the state budget. The project is designed to improve the drinking water supply and sewage services for 35,000 people in the city of Salyan, taking into account the perspective development by 2035.

To provide the population with sustainable and high-quality drinking water in the city of Salyan, the water source Shirvan-Mugan group water pipeline was chosen. A 1.4 km main water line was built from the Shirvan-Mugan group water pipeline to the city. On September 3, 2016, the ceremony of providing drinking water to the city of Salyan was held with President Ilham Aliyev;s participation.

As part of the project, a reservoir with a capacity of 7,500 cubic meters was built and a 7.6 km transmission main was built from the reservoir to the city. After that, the reconstruction of the internal networks of the city was started in stages and the works in this area are currently under completion.

The construction of 131 kilometers of drinking water network in the city is nearing completion. It is planned to build 123 kilometers of sewage network and 9 km of sewage collector in the city of Salyan. In the past period, a 5 km sewage network was created in the central part of the city, the existing sewage pumping station was restored and a 4.7 km long pressurized sewage line was replaced with a new one.

In the future, a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters per day will be built for the purpose of purifying and neutralizing the waste water generated in the city of Salyan.

 

The “Project on reconstruction of drinking water supply and sewage system of Neftchala city"

"The project on reconstruction of drinking water supply and sewage systems of Neftchala city" is implemented at the expense of the state budget.

In June 2020, the construction of a 40 km long transmission main from the Shirvan-Mughan group water pipeline to the city of Neftchala and a reservoir with a volume of 7500 cubic meters near the city of Salyan was started. In November 2020, water was supplied to the city of Neftchala from the new infrastructure. Currently, the city population is provided with sustainable drinking water.

It is planned to build 118 km of distribution water, 116 km of sewage network, 8.6 km of main sewage collector and a waste water treatment plant with a capacity of 7500 cubic meters in the city of Neftchala.

 

The “Project on reconstruction of the drinking water supply and sewerage system in the city of Horadiz"

The project on reconstruction of drinking water supply systems of the city of Horadiz is implemented at the expense of the state budget. According to the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the implementation of the project started in May 2019.

According to the project, to improve the drinking water supply of Horadiz city and 6 villages, the water source was chosen as underground water. At the water source, 5 sub-artesian wells with a total productivity of 60 liters per second were dug, a water collection reservoir with a capacity of 100 cubic meters and a pumping station were built. A 1 km long transmission main was built from the source to the city of Horadiz. 2 reservoirs with a total capacity of 3000 cubic meters have been built at a high point in terms of relief for the purpose of sustainable water supply to the city. The water collected here is supplied to the network after it is neutralized using a "hypochloride" solution in the neutralization unit. To supply water to the consumers at the high points of the city, hydraulic pumps have also been installed.

In order to supply the population with sustainable drinking water, a drinking water network with a length of 61 km was built in the city of Horadiz and in the adjacent village of Ahmadalyar, 2700 addresses were connected and meters were installed. 117 valves and 129 fire hydrants were installed on the network for optimal water management and fire safety.

Currently, more than 12,000 people in the city of Horadiz and the village of Ahmadalılar are provided with uninterrupted drinking water. In the future, the investment projects will provide drinking water in Mollamharramli, Arayatli, Babı, Gazakhlar and Mirzanagıli villages. In total, 22 thousand people will benefit from the project, taking into account the prospective development until 2035.
