Joint measures against illegal drinking water supply will be taken with Narimanov District Executive Power

To ensure efficient use of water resources, detect and eliminate cases of illegal drinking water lines, minimize water losses, and prevent wastage, the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan continues to organize joint activities with local executive authorities. In the meeting held in the Executive Power of Narimanov District of Baku, the issues of efficient use of water and strengthening of measures against illegal connection were discussed.

Kocharli Hasanov, acting chairman of "Azersu" OJSC, said that in accordance with the Action Plan approved by the order signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in 2020, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency implements a complex measures in the direction of elimination of water losses, wastage and illegal water supply. Joint action with local executive authorities has already been strengthened in this direction. The support of the local executive authority in identifying and eliminating cases of illegal use water supply gives positive results. Working groups for Sukanal Administrations operating in the Absheron peninsula have been established and serious work is being done here. Research shows that a number of business entities and owners of private houses use water illegally and without accounting, it is brought to their attention that this is unacceptable and awareness is carried out.

It was decided to create a working group in Narimanov District Executive Authority to ensure efficient use of drinking water, prevent wastage, detect and eliminate cases of illegal water supply. The working group will be represented by officials of the District Executive Authority, regional executive representatives, and employees of the Narimanov District Sukanal Office.
