Cases of illegal water supply were detected in a number of facilities and courtyard houses in Binagadi district

As a result of investigations conducted to prevent water losses and wastage in accordance with the Action Plan on ensuring the efficient use of water resources approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, cases of unaccounted and off-meter drinking water supply were detected in the service area of Binagadi District Sukanal Department.

Water leakage was detected in the concrete production enterprise operating in Khojasan settlement of Binagadi district. 3 months ago, when the enterprise's water supply systems were inspected, it was determined that an off-meter line was used and the damage was calculated. Despite the cancellation of that line, the owner of the facility reconnected to the network on his own.

During the control measures, the extra line drawn outside the meter was canceled in the restaurant, market, real estate office and car wash facility operating in the territory of the 1st Meden of Binagadi settlement.

The owner of "Stop" cafe, located in Sulutepe settlement, used water illegally without signing a contract with the supplier company. Cases of illegal water supply were also detected in the apartments built by the person engaged in the construction of a private residential house on the 5th North Street, Yeni (New) residential area, Bilajari settlement.

An act was drawn up on the detected cases, illegal water supply lines were canceled. At the same time, citizens were informed about legal connection to water supply.

It should be noted that within January-March 2023, 2958 cases of illegal drinking water supply were detected by "Azersu" Open Joint Stock Company and 633 in Binagadi district. In connection with the discovered facts, the consumption of 900 thousand cubic meters of "Azersu" Open Joint Stock Company and 176 thousand cubic meters of Binagadi district was restored.
