A football tournament has been started in connection with the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s 100th Jubilee

According to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s Decree on declaration of 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in our country dated September 29, 2022, the jubilee events are continuing at "Azersu" Open Joint Stock Company.

"Azersu" OJSC has started football tournament within the Sports competitions dedicated to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 100th anniversary. In the football tournament, 20 teams of structural divisions of "Azersu" OJSC were divided into 4 groups with 5 teams each. The final of the football tournament is planned to be held on May 5.

It should be noted that a special commission was established at "Azersu" OJSC to celebrate the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’ 100^th Jubilee at a high level and the Events Plan was approved in connection. In accordance with the plan, it is planned to hold conferences on the Great Leader’s historical services in the water sector, to make a film, to arrange media representatives’ visit to the Kura Water Treatment Plants Complex, to hold sports competitions, tree planting and blood donation campaigns and organize an art exhibition.
