Attempts to create an illegal drinking water network in the Khazar district of Baku were prevented. It turned out that a group of people presenting themselves as employees of "Azersu" Open Joint Stock Company lays water lines to citizens' houses in exchange for money.

In the Mardakan settlement of Khazar region, a person named Raco carried out excavation work on asphalt streets with special equipment at night, destroyed the road surface and built a 600-meter long water line.

In the Buzovna settlement, the person who built an illegal water line demanded money from the residents for connection to several private houses. Some citizens were deceived by their promises and gave the requested money. Water lines were built illegally and connections were given to houses. Those persons have disappeared even though they promised to install the meters and give the subscriber code.

Such situations create problems for other residents living in the area. Thus, laying of illegal water lines leads to violation of hydraulic regimes. As a result, subscribers who legally use drinking water cannot get water normally. Research has revealed that such cases are more common in other settlements of Khazar region, especially in Bina settlement. Raco, Shaiq, Ramin, Lazim and other people make deals with citizens and build illegal water lines in exchange for money.

"Azersu" OJSC advises citizens not to be deceived by such offers and enter into a deal. Because in such cases, documentation is not carried out, subscribers are not provided with a meter and no code is given. Moreover, illegally built water lines are canceled.

It is brought to the attention of citizens that the connection to the drinking water network is carried out only within the framework of the projects of the creation of new centralized drinking water networks, as well as on the basis of the technical condition obtained for connecting to the existing networks.

"Azersu" OJSC will apply to the law enforcement agencies in the future to give a legal assessment to the actions of those who intervene in the networks and to take measures in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
