One of the priorities of “Azersu” OJSC is to control the quality of drinking water supplied to consumers, as well as the composition of wastewater discharged within the framework of environmental standards.

In January-March 2022, according to the schedule agreed with the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health, a total of 15,732 water samples had been taken from 1,121 points - reservoirs, pumping stations, water networks, educational and health facilities, important government facilities, hotels, sports complexes and other facilities. 97033 indicators were determined on these samples.

At the same time, according to the schedule agreed with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, wastewater samples were taken from a total of 66 points, including treatment plants, industrial enterprises and city collectors. 10558 parameters of wastewater were studied on these samples.

At present, the Central Laboratory of “Azersu OJSC analyzes a total of 112 parameters, including 53 for drinking water and 59 for wastewater.

9 regional laboratories were established using the experience of the Central Laboratory. Regional laboratories also allow monitoring the quality of water in springs located in the most remote areas of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the Central Laboratory of “Azersu” OJSC was launched on September 16, 2013. A year later, the laboratory, which is internationally accredited by the Latvian State Accreditation Agency (LATAK), joined various competency testing programs within the period.
