The drinking water supply of residential buildings on Ismat Gayibov Street in Aghjabadi is being improved

In accordance with the State Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Regions approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, “Azersu” OJSC continues to implement projects to improve access to drinking water supply and wastewater disposal services in the regions. Residential buildings on Ismat Gayibov Street in Aghjabadi are connected to centralized networks, internal water supply and sewerage systems are being reconstructed.

Drinking water supply of 7 apartment buildings on Ismet Gayibov Street has been provided with drinking water from sub-artesian wells in the neighborhood. The existing 160 apartments of these buildings were provided with lines laid by the residents individually. The capacity of the sub-artesian well and the primitively laid lines did not allow for a normal water supply. There is no centralized sewerage system in the area, and wastewater is discharged into a nearby salt canal.

To connect the buildings to the centralized water supply system and reconstruct the indoor systems, “Azersu” OJSC has developed and launched a new project. According to the project, the water supply of the buildings will be provided from the network of Aghjabadi. For this purpose, a 600-meter-long water line is being laid from the city network to the area. Each apartment in the buildings will be connected to the new network and meters will be installed.

To ensure the connection of the buildings to the centralized sewerage network, 800 meters of waste water lines will be laid and connected to the existing sewerage network in Aghjabadi.

As a result of the new project, the drinking water supply and wastewater services for residents of 7 buildings will be improved.
