Construction of new sewerage infrastructure has begun on several streets in Binagadi district

“Azersu” OJSC has launched a new project to improve the use of wastewater disposal services in the Binagadi district of Baku. The new sewerage collector built in Binagadi settlement, Jafar Jabbarli and Mikayil Alakbarov streets will ensure the management of wastewater generated here in accordance with environmental requirements, as well as prevent flooding during rains.

In recent years, the construction of existing sewer lines in the area by the population, as well as the discharge of wastewater through open ditches in some places create serious problems in the area. In order to ensure the centralized collection and disposal of wastewater generated here, “Azersu” OJSC has developed a project and started construction of new infrastructure. According to the project, new waste water lines with 600 mm diameter pipes are being built on both streets. Then the sewer lines of the houses in the area will be connected to the collector.

The new project, which will cover about 2000 houses, is planned to be completed by the next rainy season. This project, implemented to improve the use of wastewater disposal services, is important in terms of improving the living conditions of the population, as well as ensuring environmental safety in the area.
