Water supply and sewerage systems in Mingachevir, Zardab and Kurdamir under reconstruction
Inauguration ceremony took place on October 4 on the occasion with the water supply and sewerage system of Mingachevir, Zardab and Kurdamir. Chairman of ‘Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov and heads of Executive Authority attended the ceremonies. G. Huseynov stated that reconstruction works in each region were carried out at the expense of the state budget and residents of and Imishli will be supplied on a continuing basis with high quality water on “State Program of Social-economic Development” approved by the President Ilham Aliyev by the beginning of 2013.
“Reconstruction project of water supply and sanitation systems of Mingachevir” will be conducted with forecast of its population growth as of 2035 from current 99,000 up to 120,500 people. Water Treatment ultra-filtration Plant with a capacity of 30 thousand cubic meters per day based on modern technology will be constructed for supplying population with water adapted to standards. In the frame of the project a reservoir (V=15 thousand cubic meters, total 250 km water distributor line of a combined diameter will be constructed for supplying the city by gravity. 223 km long sewerage line will be constructed and 3 Nos sewerage pumping stations will be built for wastewater collected in the city. Retained wastewater will be transmitted to the Wastewater Treatment Plant with a capacity of 25000 m3/d.
“Reconstruction project of water supply and sanitation systems of Zardab” will be conducted with forecast of its population growth by 2035 from current 11,000 up to 13,500people. Gullulu water source of Agsu region is intended to use for supplying population with water. For the purpose of conveying water to the city by gravity 70 km long transmission main is intended to construct. The transmission main will supply some villages with water. In the frame of the project a reservoir (V=2000 cubic meters) and a water distributor with total length of 60 km of a combined diameter range will be constructed. For the transmission of retained wastewater 55 km long sewerage line and 7 Nos sewerage pumping stations are intended to construct. Wastewater will be transmitted to Wastewater Treatment Plant with a capacity 5 thousand cubic meters that will be constructed in the edge of the city.
Considering population growth as of 2035 “Reconstruction project of water supply and sanitation systems of Kurdamir” will be conducted to from 18,400 up to 22,300 people . Kullulu water source of Agsu region is intended to use for supplying population with drinking water. With this purpose construction of water intake drainage facility and building of 32 km long transmission main are planned for transmission of water to the city by gravity. In the frame of the project 1 Nos reservoir (V=7500 m3) and total 190 km water distributor line of combined diameter range will be constructed. 175 km long sewerage line and 4 Nos sewerage pumping station are planned to construct. Retained wastewater will be transmitted to the Wastewater Treatment Plant with a capacity of 6 thousand m3/d. This Plant will be constructed in the edge of the city.
