Water supply and sewerage system of Hajigabul and Imishli under reconstruction

   Inauguration ceremony took place on September 30 on the occasion with the project of reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Hajigabul and Imishli. Chairman of ‘Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov and heads of Executive Authority participated in the ceremonies. G. Huseynov stated that reconstruction works in each region were carried out at the expense of the state budget and residents of Hajigabul and Imishli will be supplied on a continuing basis with high quality water till the beginning of 2013.

   “Reconstruction project  of water supply and sanitation systems of Hajigabul” is estimated to 30 400 people considering population growth as of 2035. In the frame of the project 2 Nos reservoirs with a capacity of 2 and 5 thousand cubic meter are intended to construct in 2 points high  by relief for water supply of the city by gravity. Total 110 km long water distributor network of a combined diameter range and 103 km long sewerage network will be constructed in the city. Sewerage pumping stations are planned to construct in the pit area in the eastern part of Hajigabul. Retained wastewater will be transmitted to Water Treatment Plants with a capacity of 6 thousand m3/d which will be built on the edge of Shirvan- Kurdamir highway.

        Consideration population growth as of 2035 “Reconstruction project of water supply and sanitation systems of Imishli” is estimated to 40 thousand people. In the frame of the project 2 Nos 2500 cubic meters, 2 Nos 600 cubic meters, 1 Nos 1500 cubic meters reservoirs and water distributor network of a combined diameter range with total length of 180 km will be constructed for supplying the city with uninterrupted water. A sewerage network with the length of 170 km and 23 Nos pumping stations are planned to construct for wastewater in the city. Retained wastewater will be transmitted to Wastewater Treatment Plant with a capacity of 10 thousand m3/d will be constructed near the collector. 

         5 Nos subartesian wells with capacity of 120 l/s will be drilled in Dunyamalilar village of Beylagan for supplying Imishli with drinking water. 29 km long and DN 630 transmission main will be laid from these subartesian wells to Imishli.
