Water supply and sewerage systems of Guba under reconstruction
President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation of a reservoir with the capacity of 5 thousand m3. Chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov informed President about the project on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems of Guba and surrounding residential areas. He also noted that works in the frame of the project financed using state budget have been commenced in August. According to the project water intake plants with length 1200 m, the capacity of 120 l/s or 10 400 m3, 2 Nos reservoir V=3000 m3 each and a reservoir V=5000 m3 and new water distributor network will be constructed in the basin of the Gudyalchay river. New transmission main with the length 152 km and new sewerage network with the length 147 km are intended to lay in urban.
Guba and surrounding residential tracts will be supplied with quality and stable water as result of executive of the project that will be completed in the first half of 2013. New sewerage line which will be constructed will play an important role in eliminating sewerage problems of the city. Wastewater retained here will be transmitted to Khachmaz Wastewater Treatment Plant.
President Ilham Aliyev reviewed a stand which was reflected the works “Azersu” OJSC has been doing to upgrade water and sewerage systems of the country.
