Water supply and sewerage infrastructures in Mingechevir under reconstruction

   “Azersu” OJSC continues to carry out Action Plan on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the regions under state program on social development of regions of Republic of Azerbaijan. Great part of reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems project in Mingechevir city is nearing completion. Note that the project is funded by state budget.

  Work under “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage system of Mingachevir” was launched in October 2011. The project is designed to improve water supply and sewerage systems of 151 thousand users in the city considering population growth as of 2035.

  In accordance with the project 3 reservoirs with the capacity of 10 thousand cubic meters each will be constructed in order to supply the city with drinking water by gravity. A section of 180 km of water distributor line of 273 km  has been laid and 7100 house connection have been carried out. In addition a section of 70 km of sewerage line of 232 km has been laid. Retained wastewater will be transmitted to the Wastewater Treatment Plant with capacity of 60 thousand cubic meters that will be built near the city.

   Note that so far 3500 of 30 211 customers have been supplied with water meter.
