New drinking water and sewerage systems will be constructed in Terter

   Terter city Water Supply and Sewerage Project to be launched by the end of 2014. “Azersu” OJSC announces bid for the reconstruction of water supply and sewerage project in Terter city under “National Water Supply and Sanitation Project in 6 regions” funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

  Terter city Water Supply and Sewerage Project covers Terter city and surrounding villages. The project is designed to improve water supply and sewerage systems of 47 thousand people taking account of the perspective development and growth as of 2035.

  In accordance with the project for supplying rayon center and surrounding villages underground waters are chosen and 9 subartesian wells will be drilled. At the same time main water transmission line of 3,6km, and distribution network of 110 km will be laid, and 2reservoirs with capacity of 5000 cubic meter each will be constructed. 2959 house connections to be carried out and every customer will be supplied with pre-paid smart-card meters.

   Following the project construction of sewerage system in Terter city is planned. With this purpose sewerage line of 104km will be laid and 2672sewage wells will be drilled. 3944 house connections will be carried out. In addition sewerage collector of 8,1km will be constructed.

   Note that in the frame of National Water Supply and Sanitation Project in 6 regions” water supply and sewerage systems in Terter, as well as in Astara, Gazakh, Samukh, and Gedebey will be reconstructed.
