Water supply and sewerage systems in Gobustan will be reconstructed

   Reconstruction work of drinking water and sewerage infrastructures in Gobustan will be launched in September 2014. The project will be carried out at the expense of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Japan International Cooperation Agency under Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Project.

   Presently bidding procedure for selection of contractor is under preparation. On June 17 a complete set of bidding documents and invitation letters sent to the bidders. Interested bidders are required to submit technical and financial proposals in two separate envelopes until August 1, 2014.

   Bidding will be conducted on the base of single stage and two-envelope procurement procedure. Following the rules initially the technical bid envelopes will be opened. Technical proposals will be evaluated, and following approval by the Evaluation Committee will be sent to JICA. After obtaining appropriate consent from JICA plaintiff companies will be notified and informed about the date of opening of the financial proposals.  After opening the financial proposals the final evaluation will be conducted and relevant reports will be submitted to JICA.  After receiving a positive opinion of the Agency Final Protocol will be signed by the Tender Committee.

   Note that Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Project is aimed at reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Gusar, Khachmaz, Khizi, Gobustan, and Naftalan. Construction and installation works have been already laucnched in Gusar, Khachmaz, Khizi and Naftalan cities.
