A ceremony to mark the supply of drinking water to Alibeyli village of Tovuz district located on the front line

“Azersu” OJSC continues to carry out major projects for improvement of drinking water supply of rural villages and settlements suffering from shortage of drinking water. On the eve of the 10th anniversary of establishment of “Azersu” OJSC the project that designed for solving drinking water problem of Alibeyli village of Tovuz district located on the front line was successfully completed. In this regard on June 12 inauguration ceremony of drinking water was held in Alibeyli village.

Director of “United Sukanal” LLC of “Azersu” OJSC Etibar Memmedov stated that large-scale works are carried out in the regions in accordance with the under State Program on socioeconomic development of the regions of republic of Azerbaijan: “Water supply infrastructure have been constructed in Alibeyli village of Tovuz located on the front line in accordance with the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev. The residents of the village located on the front line have been suffered from shortage of drinking water for many years. Taking this into account we launched works in Alibeyli village following Action Plan. In order to ensure safety of employees in the village that is constantly under fire of Armenian army representatives of International Humanitarian Organizations have been invited to the area and as a result of their support the works completed within 2 months without any problems. "

Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva congratulated the residents on the supply of drinking water and highly appreciated the works of “Azersu” OJSC.

Executive Power of Tovuz district Tofig Zeynalov informed the participants about social and infrastructure projects carried out in the village and spoke on the role of sewerage projects.

Participating at the ceremony the residents also thanked to President for attention and care, “Azersu” OJSC, MP Ganira Pashayeva.

“Construction of drinking water system in Alibeyli, Hajialili and Mulkulu villages of Tovuz district” project is designed for improvement of drinking water supply of 5460 people. At the first phase the work was launched in Alibeyli village.

In accordance with the project 1 subartesian well drilled, pumping and transformer stations were built in the area of this well. 2Nos reservoirs with the capacity of 100 m3 each were constructed and a water line of 1,7km was laid by DN100mm pipelines. A transmission main of 2km was laid from the reservoir. 20 springs have been installed. Thus drinking water supply of 1000 people improved.

At the next phases water supply systems will be constructed in Hajialili and Mulkulu. With this purpose new wells will be drilled and water reservoirs and pumping stations will be constructed. 1220 house connections will be carried out.
