Azersu OJSC's specialists attended VII All - Russian hydrological congress

   19-21 November, 2013 he VIIth All - Russian hydrological congress was held in Saint - Petersburg of the Russian Federation. Prominent scientists and experts of Russian Federation, as well as CIS countries were invited the congress. A delegation from Azerbaijan including experts of different government organization, as well as Azersu OJSC also took part at the congress.

   The main topics of the Congress included hydrological hazards (flooding, low water, mudslides) assessment, prediction, risk mitigation; water resources and water balance of water bodies under human impact and climate change; problems of water quality, protection and restoration of water bodies; use and management of water resources; regional water management problems including transboundary basins; state and development of hydrological observing system; provision of information to users.

   Deputy Director of Directorate for Ongoing Construction Ahmed Memmedov told about the processes and dangers of river beds in Azerbaijan, as well as assessment of the processes.

   Head of a division of Directorate for Ongoing Construction Elshad Javadzadeh and head of Project Management Unit Arzuman Bayramov also told about the works done in the water supply field, water supply and sewerage projects carried out, as well as current hydrological problems and ways of solving them.
