Khatai district to be supplied with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis

   Azersu OJSC carries out Action plans in order to improve drinking water supply of consumers. In accordance with the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev about supplying population on a continuing basis with drinking water large scale work is carried out. With this purpose capital reconstruction of transmission mains, distributional lines, as well as reservoirs is carried out

  A tremendous amount of work is carried out by Azersu OJSC for supplying Khatai district with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis. As result of works done a large part of Khatai is supplied on a continuing basis with drinking water. At the same time water pressure is always kept under control in multistorey buildings. After completion of a period of testing and ensuring a stable water supply regime, 90% of Khatai district will be provided with drinking water on a continuing basis. Note that 80% of the population in this district has been always supplied with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis. After completion of the works 225 thousand or 92% people of Khatai will be supplied with uninterrupted drinking water.

   By the way, distributional lines of multistorey buildings in Khatai district are under reconstruction. The steel lines are replaced with polyethylene ones and valves are installed below the lines. These lines were laid through the ladder cages. Every house is supplied with pre-paid smart-card water meters. The project is carried out at the expense of state budget. The works have been completed in 46 buildings, 4720 house were provided with pre-paid smart-card water meters. A project designed for reconstruction of distributional lines of 89 multistorey buildings is being continued.

   Azersu OJSC asks consumers to call 955 (Call Center) if any problem arises on the lines regarding with transition “24 hours a day” basis or in pressure of water delivered houses, especially upper floors.
