“+110 Sharg” water reservoirs compound are substantially reconstructed

   Azersu OJSC carries out Action plans in order to supply population with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis. With this purpose repair and reconstruction work is carried out on the transmission mains, water reservoirs, and pumping stations. “+110 Sharg” water reservoirs compound are also reconstructed.  

   10Nos reservoirs with capacity of 12,5 cubic meters of “+110 Sharg” water reservoirs compound are checked and reconstruction works have been launched. Firstly sludge sediments removed and repair works carried out. The pipes and the valves have been renewed. The collectors (DN1400mm) connecting the reservoirs and pumping stations were substantially reconstructed. Thus the volume of water delivered to the pumping station has been increased.

   Up to now rehabilitation work was completed in 4 water reservoirs and these reservoirs have been put into operation. Presently reconstruction work is continued in 6 reservoirs. As result of these works the areas feeding from these reservoirs will be supplied with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis.

   Note that at the beginning of the year “+69 Sharg” water reservoirs compound were substantially reconstructed. With this purpose the collectors have been renewed.

   “+110 Sharg” water reservoirs compound located in Nizami district in Baku supply a part of Khatai district, as well as Nizami, Surakhani, districts with drinking water. As result of these works more than 220 thousand people in these districts will be supplied on a continuing basis with drinking water.
