Drinking water supply in Parizamanli village of Gedebey district has been improved

   “Azersu” OJSC pays special attention to improvement of drinking water supply in Baku, town/rayon centers, as well as in the villages and settlements. In accordance with Urgent Action Plan approved by “Azersu” OJSC works on improvement of drinking water supply are carried out in villages and settlements suffering from water shortage. Under the Action Plan reconstruction project of drinking water supply system in Parizamanli village was completed. In this regard on August 23 an opening of a drinking water supply system was held in Parizamanli village.

   The director of “United Sukanal” Etibar Memmedov stated that water supply and sewerage infrastructures in the regions are reconstructed and reconstruction works are carried out in urban and the centers of the district, as well as in the villages and settlements under “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of the regions of Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”: “Large-scale works are carried out in regions in accordance with instruction given by President Ilham Aliyev. Presently, water supply projects are carried out in 24 town/rayon centers, as well as in more than 350 villages and settlements. New projects will be launched in over 10 towns in 2013. In Parizamanli water system, 3Nos reservoirs and pump stations were constructed, a water line of 12km was laid and every house was supplied with drinking water. As a result of the project 720 residents were supplied with clear spring water.”

   The project was financed by state budget. In accordance with project Kerem, Sari and Garabulag springs have been chosen as water source. Water intake lines of 670m were laid using polyethylene pipes in order to collect spring waters and deliver to the reservoir. 2Nos additional reservoirs with the capacity of 100m3 were constructed for supplying population with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis. A transmission main of 1122m and a network of 12,4km was laid using steel pipes.

    Note that Totukhlu village is planned to be supplied with drinking water from the same source.
