Between January and June months 27 subartesian wells were put into operation

“Azersu” OJSC pays special attention to implementation of drinking water and sanitation projects in Baku, as well as in the regions. Large-scale works on reconstruction of water supply and sanitation systems are carried out in the regions under “State Program on Socioeconomic Development in the Regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”.

Between January and June months of 2013 27 subartesian wells were drilled and put into operation in order to improve water supply systems in the areas suffering from water scarcity.

The subartesian wells drilled in the villages and settlements of Zagatala, Yardimli, Lerik, Ismayilli, Goranboy, Agdam, Balaken, Gazakh, Agjabedi, Samukh districts met drinking water need of the population. As a result of work done drinking water supply of 5 thousand people in 24 residential areas were improved.

Presently drinking water supply projects are continued in the villages and settlements suffering from water scarcity. “United Sukanal” LLC serves in 397 residential areas (46 town/rayon centers, 80 settlements, 271 villages) of the Republic.
