849 facts regarding with illegal use of drinking water were revealed between January and June months of 2013

   “Azersu” OJSC carries out integrated control measures in order to improve drinking water supply and sanitation services rendered to consumers, as well as to establish accurate accounting system, and to prevent illegal uses. Although the infrastructure projects carried out in Baku and Absheron Peninsula, as well as in the regions are estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage services of consumers some abuse cases are revealed.

   Following “Law on water and wastewater” employees of Abonnement Department of “Azersu” OJSC and local Sukanal Offices regularly review water supply and sanitation systems and investigate the current status of the services.

   849 facts regarding to illegal use of drinking water were revealed between January and June months of 2013. The investigates was cleared that the damage caused to “Azersu” OJSC is AZN 2,4 mln. AZN 993 thousand was paid as a result of relevant measures. 194 facts regarded to illegal using of drinking water were revealed just in June. 26 facts are identified in different districts. As a result of evaluation it was cleared that the damage caused to “Azersu” OJSC in June was AZN 279,6 thousand and payment of AZN 210,3 thousand was ensured.

   Note that such cases are mostly revealed in restaurants, wedding houses, bathrooms, laundry, car wash and dry cleaner points.
