Reconstruction project of water supply systemin Imishli is nearing completion

   “Azersu” OJSC continues Action plan for reconstruction of water supply and sewerage services in the regions following “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of the regions of Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”. Water supply and sewage systems are reconstructed in Imishli under the project funded by State budget.

   Major part of work on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Imishli was completed in accordance with the project commenced in 2011. The project is estimated for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems services of 45500 users in the city considering population growth as of 2035. The project will cover Imishli city, as well as Ahmadli village of Beylegan. Source of water supply system in Imishli was chosen underground waters located near Ashiqallilar village in Beylegan district. 5Nos subartesian wells were drilled, DN630mm transmission main of 29,5km was laid from the wells to Imishli, and 2Nos reservoirs with the capacity of 6500m 3 were put into operation. Chlorination and laboratory buildings are nearing completion.

   Sewerage system of Imishli is reconstructed under the project. 159km section of distributional lines of 167km was laid and connected to the houses. So far 3293 of 8950 consumers were provided with pre-paid smart-card water meters. Work on the project in Imishli is planned to be completed in July of the year.

   Note that construction of sewerage lines of 125km and microtunnel sewage collector of 15,7km is being continued. In the future wastewater of the city will be discharged to Wastewater Treatment Plant that will be built near the city.
