Construction of objects in protection zone of water pipelines causes problems in eliminating the accidents occurred

   An accident was occurred on a part of high pressured transmission main (DN=1200mm) transported drinking water from Kura Water Treatment Plant Compound to Binagadi pumping station passing trough  Kh.Malikaslanov street in Binagadi settlement. Water leak was occurred under private house No 23 that illegally constructed a few years ago in protection zone of water pipelines. As a result of the accident yards of some private houses were inundated.

   In order to overcome the consequences of the accident the employees of “Azersu” OJSC reviewed the area and excavation works were carried out involving technical equipments. The accident was eliminated at night though illegally constructed objects in protection zone of water pipelines cause some problems.

    Recall that construction of illegal dwelling houses and communal infrastructure objects was realized on the distributional lines and transmission mains in the 90s years of the last century. 7 transmission mains are passed through this area. There are 2800 illegal constructions in Khojasan, Bilejeri, and Rasulzadeh.

   “Azersu” OJSC once again states that during the construction of dwelling houses and commercial objects in the protection area of transmission mains conditions should be assessed and relevant opinion of relevant state organization as well as communal service institutions and for construction works should be obtained.
