“Azersu” OJSC carries out Action plan for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems of consumers. Construction of Jeyranbatan-Balakhani-Ramana-Zire-Pirallahi transmission main, one of the major projects carried out under “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of Baku and suburban settlements for 2011-2013” is continued successfully.

33 km section of the transmission main in Gala settlement was laid. Presently welding and pipe trenching works are carried out. “+118 Atyali” reservoir is constructed in Absheron district in order to ensure transmission of drinking water by gravity. Construction of DN1620mm water line of 11km that is laid from Jeyranbatan Water Treatment Plants Compound to the reservoir is nearing completion. Construction of a section of the transmission main that connects Jeyranbatan Water Treatment Plants Compound and Gala settlement will be finished by August and thereby residential areas through the pipeline will be supplied with drinking water.

Modern technology is used in implementation of the project in order to finish the project in a timely manner. For the timely completion of the construction Azerbaijan uses for the first time an automatic welding robot, which accelerates the rate of welding by 4-5 times and does this with high quality.

Note that under “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of Baku and suburban settlements for 2011-2013” “Azersu” OJSC carries out works in different areas simultaneously. Presently water supply and sewerage projects are carried out in 36 village and settlements of Baku and Absheron district. Once Jeyranbatan Water Treatment Ultra-filtration Plant and Jeyranbatan-Balakhani-Ramana-Zire-Pirallahi transmission main is put into operation water supply systems of more over 1 million people in Absheron Peninsula will be improved.
