Reconstruction project of water supply and sanitation systems in Bilasuvar is nearing completion

    “Azersu” OJSC continues Action plan for reconstruction of water supply and sewerage services in the regions following “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of the regions of Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”. Under the project funded by State budget major part of work on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Bilasuvar was completed.

    Bilasuvar city will be supplied with drinking water by Shirvan-Mugan integrated water pipeline system in accordance with the project commenced in 2011. Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems in Bilasuvar will be completed till Shirvan-Mugan integrated water pipeline system is put into operation. With the purpose of supplying Bilasuvar city with drinking water on continuing basis 2Nos reservoirs with the capacity of 5000 m3 each are being constructed. In accordance with the project 30,3km of transmission main of 54,8km was laid. Drinking water system of the city is nearing completion. 106 km of distributional water network of 110 km was laid and connected to the houses.

    Under the project sewerage system will be constructed in Bilasuvar. With this purpose 8,8km of sewerage collector of 9,5km was laid and sewerage network of 76,8km was constructed. Wastewater of Bilasuvar will be treated in new wastewater treatment plant will be constructed.

    At the same time installation of pre-paid smart-card water meters are carried out and so far 2420 of 5600 customers were supplied with water meter.

    Presently Bilasuvar city is supplied with drinking water from Azizbeyov canal on schedule. There is not sewerage system. Water supply and sewerage systems of 26200 people will be improved taking into account prospective development as of 2035. The project is intended to be completed by the end of the year.

   At the same time 23 villages of Bilasuvar will be supplied with drinking water from Shirvan-Mugan integrated water pipeline system.
