“Azersu” OJSC held a meeting with the delegation of Japan International Cooperation Agency

    On June 12 chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov received the delegation of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) led by Tetsuya Yamada, the director of Central Asia and the Caucasus.

    Recalling the close participation of the JICA in undertaking of investment projects the chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov highly appreciated the role of Japan International Cooperation Agency in reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems. He also emphasized that construction work under "Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Project" is continued successfully and added that in the near future work on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in Gobustan will be commenced.

    Expressing his satisfaction with the cooperation with the government of Azerbaijan the director of Eastern and Central Asian and Caucasus Division of Japan International Cooperation Agency Tetsuya Yamada stated that the organization she represents will support to the reconstruction projects of water supply and sewerage systems. At the meeting implementation and funding status of the project was discussed.  

    Note that under “Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Projects” funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and JICA water supply and sewerage syetms in 5 city/rayon centers will be reconstructed. Construction works have been commenced and presently are continued in Gusar, Khachmaz, Khizi and Naftalan).
