Measures are continued in order to prevent illegal uses of drinking water and sanitation services

    “Azersu” OJSC carries out measures for accurate accounting of water and eliminating the cases of illegal use of water. Although control measures in this field intensified, unfortunately some subscribers still use water illegally without any contract. Such cases are mostly revealed in restaurants, wedding houses, bathrooms, laundry, car wash and dry cleaner points.

   As a result of control measures carried out by the employees of Abonnement department and local Sukanal departments of “Azersu” OJSC following “Law on water and wastewater” 164 facts regarding illegal uses of drinking water including 140 in Baku and 24 in different districts were revealed just in March. The facts were compiled and the damage caused to “Azersu” OJSC was calculated as AZN 269924.

   Generally 394 such facts were revealed between January and March months of 2013 as result of control measures carried out by “Azersu” OJSC. During the first quarter of the current year the damage caused to “Azersu” OJSC was calculated as AZN 925900 and AZN 363616 was paid.

   “Azersu” OJSC draws attention of subscriber not to use drinking water illegally. For revealing such cases control measures will be continued and subscribers that use drinking water illegally will be fined and their water supply system will be suspended unconditional.
