President of Azerbaijan attended ceremony of inauguration of drinking water pipeline in Hajigabul

   On April 15 President Aliyev took part at the ceremony of inauguration of the drinking water pipeline laid from Shirvan-Mugan integrated water pipeline to Hajigabul district.

   The head of State viewed the stands with the photos of the Shirvan-Mugan water pipeline technical parameters. Chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov said that the daily drinking water requirement in Hajigabul is 248l. The capacity of total reservoir is 10 thousand cubic meter. The length of Shirvan-Mugan integrated water pipeline is 170km. This pipeline supplies totally 470 thousand people with drinking water. In accordance with the project the pipeline will supply 121 villages, as well as 13 villages of Sabirabad district. The length of Sabirabad-Saatli integrated water pipeline is 40km. According to the project over 160 thousand people of 37 villages will be supplied with drinking water by this pipeline. At the ceremony it was noted that “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems of Hajigabul” funded by State Budget is estimated for 30,4 thousand people taking into account taking account of perspective development and growth as of 2035. Residents of Hajigabul district will be supplied with drinking water by Shirvan-Mugan integrated water pipeline founded by President Ilham Aliyev on June 16, 2012. Centralized drinking water supply system was constructed in 1970. Currently, the network is unfit for operation. The water line system is 25,5km and there is no sewerage network in the city. 24,8 thousand people live in Hajigabul district and 50% of them is not supplied with centralized drinking water.  

   Under “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems of Hajigabul” transmission main of 2,4km was laid and a reservoir with the capacity of 5 thousand m3 was constructed in order to deliver water by gravity. Following the project distributional lines of totally 115km and sewerage system of 105km will be constructed in the city. In 2014 after implementation of the project the residents will be supplied with high quality and clear drinking water. Wastewater collected in the region will be discharged to Wastewater Treatment Plant that will be constructed at the edge of Shirvan-Kurdemir highway. The treated water will be transmitted to Bash Shirvan collector.
