   On February 15 a meeting was held in “Azersu” OJSC dedicated to the results of 2012 in the field of water supply and sewerage systems and to the tasks ahead that will be realized in 2013. The chairman stated that the strategy established by the founder of independent Azerbaijan Republic, national leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully followed by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev and as a result of this successful policy the economy has increased, new infrastructure projects were carried out, the social welfare improved. Touching the works done in water supply and sewerage fields the chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov said that the water supply and sewerage sector has entered a new development period as a result of President Ilham Aliyev’s attention and care to this field: “Water supply and sewerage systems of all the centers of cities and districts, as well as suburban villages and settlements are reconstructed under the state programs. The works in centers of 23cities and districts, as well as 277 villages and settlements are carried out. Even the first phases of some projects were completed.” The inauguration of Shirvan-Mugan Group Water pipeline and Kulullu-Zardab transmission main went down in history as the most important events of the year.”

   Then the first Deputy Chairman Teyyub Jabbarov, Deputy Chairman for Operation Kocharli Hasanov, Deputy Chairman for Economic Affairs Mahir Mammadov, Chairman of “United Sukanal” LLC Etibar Mammadov, head of “Baku Sukanal” Office Habil Guliyev, head of Administrative Department Mohsun Guliyev spoke on their reports on works done in 2012 and gave information on the works and events realized in 2012.

   At the meeting it was noted that in 2012 water lines of 1400km, sewerage lines of 630km were laid, 45Nos reservoirs and 5Nos pumping stations were constructed and 35Nos artesian and subartesian wells were drilled. 64 thousand water meters including 20 thousand smart card water meters were installed. In 2012 370 thousand people through the country were supplied on a continuing basis with drinking water and water supply systems of 400 thousand people were improved.

   Being the winner of Bentley International Project Contest and awarding with the highest award for carrying out transition to International Finance Reporting Standards of Institute of Certified Financial Managers (ICFM) of Great Britain of  was emphasized as important achievements of the year.

  Summing up the meeting chairman of “Azersu” OJSC gave tasks on the works will be done in 2013.
