The water supply and sewerage systems in Mingechevir under reconstruction

    “Azersu” OJSC carries out Action Plan for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems in Baku as well as in the regions. Large-scale works on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the regions are being carried out following “State Program on social – economical development of the regions of Azerbaijan Republic in 209-2013 years”. Under the project financed by the Government of Azerbaijan water supply and sewerage systems of Mingechevir are reconstructed.

   According to the project the city will be supplied by drinking water from the Mingechevir reservoir. Ultra filtration water treatment plant with the capacity of 30 thousand m3 will be constructed for supplying the consumers with high quality drinking water. 2Nos reservoirs with the capacity of 20 thousand m3 each will be built for supplying the city with water by gravity. In accordance with the project water supply and sewerage systems of the city will be substantially reconstructed. 75km of distributional lines with the totally length of 250km was laid. At the same time 46km of sewerage network of 223km was constructed. Wastewater treatment plant of 25 thousand m3 will be constructed near Mingechevir.

   The works on the project are planned to be completed in the second part of 2013. Thus water supply and sewerage systems of about 100 thousand people will be improved
