Sewerage collector is laid from Novkhani settlement to Sumgayit city

   “Azersu” OJSC continues Action plan for improvement of sewerage infrastructure and environmental situation. Implementation of the new project began in order to prevent the discharge of sewerage water into the Caspian Sea in the area from Novkhani settlement of Absheron district to Sumgayit city.

   Note that a sewerage collector (DN=1000mm) of 6km was laid by GRP and polyethylene pipes in Novkhani settlement early in 2011 under the first project. Presently in addition to it a new collector (DN=1600mm) of 7175m is laid by polyethylene pipes from Novkhani settlement to Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Sumgayit city. More over 200m of the collector                     was laid. Overall the works under the project are planned to be completed as of May of 2013.

   After completion of the project the wastewater that discharged to the Caspian Sea will be discharged to the collector and from here will be transported to Wastewater Treatment Plant by gravity. After treatment the wastewater will be discharged into the Caspian Sea.
