Cooperation issues on drinking water and sewerage systems were discussed with GDF SUEZ Company

  On January 24 President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met Vice-Chairman and President of GDF SUEZ Jean-François Cirelli in Davos.
    During the meeting, they praised cooperation between GDF SUEZ and Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev and Jean-François Cirelli discussed the issues of cooperation in ensuring the supply of quality drinking water to the Azerbaijani population and improving the sewerage system in the country.
    They also exchanged views on exploration of Absheron gas field, purchase and transportation of gas from Shahdaniz field.

   Note that on September 24 an agreement was signed between French Company Suez Environment Company and “Azersu” OJSC under "Rapid assessment of water supply services of Baku and support the Master Plan."   The agreement involves investigating of the current situation of water supply in Baku, the identification of weaknesses, as well as providing the action plan in order to ensure uninterrupted water supply of the capital.
