A meeting dedicated to the works done in 2012 was held in “Azersu” OJSC

    On December 26 a meeting on the results of works done in water supply and sewerage fields 2012 and to the tasks ahead was held under the leadership of chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov. The chairman stated that the strategy established by the founder of independent Azerbaijan Republic, national leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully followed by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev. Over the period the economy has increased, new infrastructure projects were carried out, the social welfare improved. Recalling the inauguration of Shirvan-Mugan Group Water pipeline and Kulullu-Zardab transmission main Mr. Gorkhmaz Huseynov noted that these projects will improve water supply systems in a big part of Arran area.

   Touching the works done in water supply and sewerage fields the chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov said that the water supply and sewerage sector has entered a new development period as a result of President Ilham Aliyev’s attention and care to this field: “Water supply and sewerage systems of all the centers of cities and districts, as well as suburban villages and settlements are reconstructed under the state programs. The works in centers of 23cities and districts, as well as 277 villages and settlements are carried out. Even the first phases of some projects were completed.”

   Mr. Gorkhmaz Huseynov also noted that the projects on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems carried out in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula significantly changed water supply systems of the capital: “In the last year more over 300 thousand people were supplied on continuing basis with drinking water. Early in the next year over 200 thousand people of Khatai, Nizami, Sabunchu and Surakhani will be supplied with drinking water 24 hours in a day. Water supply systems of over 400 thousand people including 30 thousand villagers were improved in 2012. As a result of these measures 95Nos pumping stations were cancelled and this saved about 1 million kilowatt / hours of electricity.

   Our main goal is to supply all our consumers on a continuing basis with drinking water. With the works on construction of new water reservoirs, reconstruction of transmission main and distributional lines in Baku the indicator will increase to 95%”

   At the end of the meeting chairman of “Azersu” OJSC congratulated the employees on 31 December- Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and New Year Holiday.
