Water supply and sewerage systems of Amirjan under reconstruction

   “Azersu” OJSC carries out Action plan for improvement of water supply and sewerage services of the consumers. Reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems infrastructure of Amirjan settlement of Surakhani district are carried out in the frame of “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of Baku and suburban settlements for 2011-2013”.

   So far delivering drinking water to the settlement by two transmission mains and illegal connections have caused sparse. In accordance with the project the drinking water will be transmitted to the settlement by one source and with this purpose transmission main of 2467m was laid. At the same time the sewerage system of the settlement is under reconstruction. A sewerage line of 4540m was laid and a collector of 380m was constructed for discharging wastewater. At the next phase distributional lines will be reconstructed and all the subscribers will be supplied with water meters. Works on the project is planned to be completed in 2013. Thus water supply and sewerage systems of more over 30 thousand people will be improved.

   Note that water supply and sewerage systems of total 24 villages and settlements of the Absheron Peninsula has begun to be reconstructed in the frame of “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of Baku and suburban settlements for 2011-2013”. In accordance with the project ultra-filtration water treatment plant and Jeyranbatan-Balakhani-Ramana-Zira-Pirallahi transmission main are constructed. Water supply and sewerage systems will be constructed in suburban settlements. 10 reservoirs compound with total capacity of 200 thousand m3 is being constructed for delivering drinking water by gravity. Commissioning of Jeyranbatan ultra-filtration water treatment plant with capacity of 6m3/s and Jeyranbatan-Balakhani-Ramana-Zira-Pirallahi transmission main will improved water supply of more over 1million people.
