Water supply and sewerage systems of villages and settlements in Absheron district under reconstruction

   “Azersu” OJSC carries out Action plan for improvement of water supply and sewerage services of the Absheron Peninsula. The reconstruction works in the Absheron Peninsula are carried out in the frame of “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of Baku and suburban settlements for 2011-2013” and the Action Plan of “Azersu” OJSC.

   In January-October of this year water pipeline of 13,5km and sewerage line of 3km were laid in the areas where Absheron Sukanal Department renders service and in accordance with Action Plan of “Azersu” OJSC. As results of these works more over 10000 people were supplied o a continuing basis with drinking water. At the same time water metering works are carried out in the region. In 9 months of this year 4776 population and non-population were supplied with water meters. 400 of them are smart-card water meters. Generally water metering level on the district is 51,5%. Presently installation of the water meters is continued. “Absheron Sukanal” Department renders service to 60560 subscribers. 59566 of them are population, 994 are non-population.

   Note that presently the projects on development of water supply and sewerage systems of Saray, Mehdiabad, Digah, Novkhani, Fatmayi, Mehemmedi and Goradil settlements of Absheron district are carried out in the frame of “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of Baku and suburban settlements for 2011-2013”.
