New water and sewerage networks are constructed in Novkhani settlement

    “Azersu” OJSC carries out Action Plan for improving water supply and sewerage systems of population. Water supply and sewerage systems in 24 villages and settlements of the Absheron Peninsula are under reconstruction in accordance with “2011-2013 State Program on Social-Economical Development of Baku and its settlements”.

   Reconstruction works of water supply and sewerage systems of Novkhani has launched in October of this year. In accordance with the project new infrastructure is created in the areas that are not supplied with water and sewerage systems in Novkhani settlement. With this purpose drinking water line of 74km and sewerage line of 53km will be laid by polyethylene pipes in the settlement. 1025Nos sewerage wells will be drilled. 17km long water and 15km sewerage lines were laid and construction of182Nos sewerage wells were completed since the construction works have begun.

   For normal supplying the settlement with drinking water here 2Nos water reservoirs with the capacity of 10 000m3 each will be constructed. More over 2000house connections will be carried out and smart-card water meters will be installed in every house connected to the new network that will be created.

   This project plans to improve the water supply and sewerage systems of more over 19 000 consumers taking into consideration the population growth as off 2035 the works are intended to be completed by the end of 2013.
