Last month more over 21 thousand people of Yasamal district were supplied on a continuing basis with drinking water

     “Azersu” OJSC continues to carry out Action Plan for improvement of drinking water supply systems of population. According to President Ilham Aliyev’s instruction on round-the-clock supply of population with drinking water large scale works are carried out in Baku. With this purpose capital rehabilitation works are undertaken in the reservoirs, on transmission mains and water lines.

     As a result of these measures it was possible to supply the great part of Yasamal district on a continuing basis with drinking water2. On November 1 of this year more over 120 apartments in Azerbaijan and Matbuat avenues, H.Zardabi, A.Abbasov, Z.Khalilov, A.Jamil, Sh.Mehdiyev, Shahbazi, I.Gutgashenli, A.Hagverdiyev, H.Javid, M.Mushfig and other streets of the capital were supplied with drinking water 24 hours in a day. Thus drinking water supply systems of 7086 subscribers or 21360 people was improved.

    Transmitting drinking water to these areas by gravity reduces electric usage. With the application of uninterrupted regime 78 thousand kW / h electricity was saved.

    Operation of 42Nos pumping stations in Yasamal district was suspended in with regard of transmitting water to the district by gravity. Water tanks and lines installed by the population on the roofs of the apartments were decided to be abolished due to abolishment of pumping stations and supplying with water 24 hours in a day. Employees of Yasamal Sukanal Department, Municipal and Housing service overviewed residential apartments. Metal and plastic tanks with different volumes and water lines were cut and abolished. And these works will be continued.

    “Azersu” OJSC draws attention of the consumers that abolishment of water tanks should not cause to concern, the area will be supplied with drinking water round-the-clock.
