Construction of objects in protection zone of water pipelines causes problems in eliminating the accidents occurred.

    On November 20 an accident occurred on a part of high pressured transmission main (DN=1200mm) transported drinking water from Jeyranbatan Water Treatment Plant Compound to Binagadi pumping station passing trough the third Kh.Malikaslanov street lane in Binagadi settlement. Water leak occurred in the yard owned by Gulnara Faramazova and Elmaddin Bagirov.

   In order to overcome the consequences of the accident the employees of “Azersu” OJSC, Local Government and municipal reviewed the area. Initial inspection revealed that the house owned by G.Faramazova and E.Bagirov was illegally built in the protection area of high pressured transmission main (DN=1200mm) laid in 2000. Note that, according to the legislation 12m on each side of high pressured transmission main is its protected area and to carry out any construction works in the protection area is forbidden.

   For overcoming the consequences of the accident and excavation works were carried out involving technical equipments.The censequences of the accident was overcome.

   Recall that construction of illegal dwelling houses and communal infrastructure objects was realized on the distributional lines and transmission mains in the 90s years of the last century. According to the investigations conducted by “Azersu” OJSC there are thousands of such apartment and objects. The buildings in the protection zone do not allow carrying out preventive work and difficult elimination of accidents that occur.

   “Azersu” OJSC states once again that during the construction of dwelling houses and commercial objects in the protection area of transmission mains conditions should be assessed and relevant opinion of relevant state organization as well as communal service institutions and for construction works should be obtained.
