The creation of drinking and waste water infrastructures has started in the city of Jabrayil

In accordance with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev’s instructions, the implementation of the projects for the creation of drinking and waste water systems in the territories liberated from occupation is being intensively continued. According to the information provided by the Coordination Headquarters established for the centralized solution of issues in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the implementation of the project for the creation of drinking water supply and sewage systems in the city of Jabrayil has been started.

The project of construction of external water supply and sewerage systems of Jabrayil city, executed by the order of the Azerbaijan State Water Reserves Agency, is calculated to meet the needs of 15 thousand people, taking into account the prospective development until 2040. 1 geological exploration well was dug in 2023 to provide the city of Jabrayil with stable and high-quality drinking water. Productivity and water quality indicators of the selected source allows to supply the city and surrounding villages with drinking water. A total of 9 sub-artesian wells are planned to be drilled in the well zone located in the north of Jabrayil city, and work has already started in this direction. At the initial stage, 3 wells will be dug, and new wells will be dug as the number of people living in the city increases.

The new infrastructure created in the city of Jabrayil will be managed based on the "Smart water" system. Within the framework of the project, each infrastructure element will be provided with a SCADA system.

Taking into account the beginning of settlement in Horovlu and Shukurbeyli villages of Jabrayil region within the framework of the Great Return program, preparations are being made for the creation of water supply systems in those villages.
