Washing of reservoirs in Chelebikhan settlement, Sheki has started

Complex measures in order to improve the water supply of consumers and provide them with quality and stable drinking water are being continued in the regions. Central and local water reservoirs located in large cities and regional centers of the Republic are washed and disinfected by specialized service teams of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency.

In accordance with the approved instructions, washing of 2 water reservoirs with a total capacity of 1000 cubic meters, located in Chelabikhan settlement, Sheki city, has been started. For this purpose, at the initial stage, one of the reservoirs is completely emptied, its walls and bottom are cleaned of silt and sediments. After disinfection by a specialized service team, the reservoir will be put back into operation based on the opinion of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, which carries out state control of water quality.

While the washing work was carried out, the second reservoir was kept in operation in order to ensure stability in the drinking water supply of the settlement. After the completion of the works in the first storage, the washing of the second reservoir will begin.

It should be noted that these reservoirs provide drinking water to 424 private houses or more than 2100 residents in Chelebikhan settlement.
