The number of subscribers increased by 4,3 percent in 2023

The number of subscribers of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency “Azersu” OJSC increased by 4,3 percent in 2023. 1,823757 subscribers was registered as users of drinking and waste water services across the country in January 1, 2024. 1,750522 or 96 percent of them are population, and 73,235 or 4 percent are non-population group subscribers.

The increase in the number of subscribers during the year was due to the implementation of new projects, the connection of consumers to centralized drinking and waste water networks, the registration of newly built private residential houses as subscribers by receiving technical conditions, the registration of new subscribers from Housing Construction Cooperatives, as well as the detection of illegal drinking water supply and sewage services.

As of January 1, 2024, 90,2% of subscribers were provided with meters. At present, the level of metering for population-group subscribers is 89.9 percent, and for non-population- group customers – 95,9 percent.
