A drinking water network is being created in the Gushchulug residential area of Hovsan settlement

Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency "Azersu" Open Joint Stock Company continues to implement projects to improve drinking water supply in Baku city and surrounding settlements. A new centralized drinking water network is being created in Gushchulug residential area, Hovsan settlement, Surakhani district, Baku city.

Gushchulug residential area has expanded in recent years due to the construction of private residential houses. In a part of the territory, drinking water supply was carried out due to lines created individually by the population and not meeting construction standards. Residents living in other parts used to buy drinking water by car. Taking all this into account, it was decided to create a drinking water supply network in those areas.

A new 6 km long network is being created in the area within the framework of the project implemented at the expense of the internal capabilities of "Azersu" Open Joint Stock Company, 280 subscribers will be provided with home connections and meters will be installed. 15 drawers will be installed on the network for optimal water management and 3 fire hydrants will be installed for fire safety. After the completion of the construction work, 1,200 residents will be provided with stable drinking water in Guschulug residential area of Hovsan settlement.

It should be noted that in order to improve the supply of drinking water to the population in 2023, projects are being implemented in Binagadi, Novkhani, Badamdar settlements, as well as in the regions, at the expense of the internal capabilities of "Azersu" OJSC.
