Cases of illegal drinking water supply in a number of commercial facilities and private residences have been prevented in Baghlar area

 Cases of illegal use of drinking water were detected and prevented in a number of commercial facilities and private residences, As a result of control measures implemented by the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan in accordance with the Action Plan on ensuring efficient use of water resources approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The fact of water theft was discovered in the poultry farming facility located in Novkhani settlement, Absheron region. It turned out that the facility's water supply was stopped some time ago due to illegal use. The owner of the object stole the water by laying a line arbitrarily instead of obtaining technical conditions and signing a contract.

All detected illegal water lines and connections have been canceled. It has been brought to the attention of the facility and house owners that the illegal and off-meter use of drinking water leads to the violation of hydraulic regimes in the networks, serious water losses, and the deterioration of the water supply of other subscribers living in those areas. In order to prevent such illegal situations, measures will be continued regularly, arbitrarily drawn and off-meter lines will be canceled, and law enforcement agencies will be contacted to take strict control measures against individuals and legal entities who commit these acts.

It should be noted that in January-May 2023, 7316 cases were detected, and 415 cases were detected in the service area of Baghlar Sukanal Department, and more than 50 cases were submitted to law enforcement agencies for investigation.
