In accordance with the state program on socio-economic development of regions approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the supply of drinking water to 3 villages located in the border area of Gazakh region is being improved.

The project, implemented at the expense of state investment, covers the villages of Gaymagli, Aslanbeyli and Kemarli. These villages have not yet possessed water supply systems. Villagers met their water needs by transporting it from long distances.

According to the approved project, drinking water will be supplied to the villages of Gaymagli, Aslanbeyli and Kemarli from 4 new sub-artesian wells. Construction of pumping stations and reservoirs is also planned within the project. Currently, the construction of inter-well, main and network water lines, as well as reservoirs is in progress. Within the framework of the project, the construction of 14 km of highway and 76 km of network water lines has been planned. So far, 2 km of the transmission main and 53 km of the drinking water network had been built. 496 springs will be installed for the general use of the population in the villages of Gaymagli, Aslanbeyli and Kemarli.

Construction and installation work on the project are expected to be completed in the summer of 2023. The newly created infrastructure will improve drinking water supply for up to 10,000 residents in 3 villages of Gazakh region. It should be noted that drinking water projects are being implemented in villages and towns of Tovuz, Agstafa and Neftchala regions in addition to Gazakh region.
