The project "Value of water through the students’ eyes" is completed

On the eve of the professional holiday "June 5 – the Water Management and Land Reclamation Employees’ Day", the project "Value of water through the students’ eyes" was completed. The V-VII grade students of Hedef STEAM Lyceum took part in the project jointly organized by the Scientific Research and Design Institute “Sukanal” of “Azersu” and this educational institution. Within the framework of the project, meetings were held with students, awareness-raising activities were carried out on the importance of water and its efficient use.

Making a speech at the event dedicated to the results of the project Jahid Huseynov, Director of the Gurtulush Branch of Hedef STEAM Lyceum and Ravil Boyukzadeh, Deputy Director of the Nasimi Branch spoke about the invaluable role of water in human life. It was noted that due to the current global climate change, the world's freshwater resources are declining. On the other hand, the rapid development of the world economy, the demographic situation and other factors are increasing the demand for water. This, in turn, makes it necessary to use water sparingly. In this regard, it was noted that such events are of educational significance.

 Elnur Nasirov and Rashail Ismayilov, deputy directors of “Sukanal” SRDI, spoke about the water shortage that worries mankind and the inadmissibility of water wastage. It was noted that holding such events in educational institutions is very important in terms of enriching the knowledge of the younger generation about the importance of an invaluable gift such as water, instilling in them the skills of water saving.

The project "Value of water through the students’ eyes" held within the project was also summed up. The winners of the competition were announced and awarded diplomas and prizes and active members of the organizing team of the event were awarded certificates.

The event ended with an art part with the attended by the students of the lyceum.
