Presentation of drinking and waste water projects in Mingachevir and Shamkir

“Azersu” OJSC continues to implement drinking water and wastewater projects in the regions in accordance with the State Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In Mingachevir and Shamkir, it is especially important to provide consumers with quality drinking water and improve sewerage services. The work done in this area and perspective tasks were discussed in detail during the presentations in Mingachevir and Shamkir.

During the presentation held at Mingachevir City Executive Power, Deputy Chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Etibar Mammadov, Head of Mingachevir City Executive Power Ilham Ismayilov spoke about the work done and stressed the importance of the project.

Shohrat Suleymanov, head of the department at “Azersu” OJSC, made the presentation of the project implemented in Mingachevir designed to improve access to drinking water and sanitation services for 151,000 people in Mingachevir by 2035, taking into account the perspective development. To provide the city of Mingachevir with drinking water, a modern sand filter treatment plant with a capacity of 55,000 cubic meters per day and a reservoir with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters were built. The construction of 344 km of drinking water network, and 130 km of 236 km of sewerage network had been completed within the project.

The issues related to the continuation of the construction of the waste water network in Mingachevir in 2022, the construction of a wastewater treatment plant were discussed in detail at the event.
