To improve the supply of drinking water to the population in Baku and surrounding settlements, “Azersu” OJSC continues to implement projects. New transmission mains are being built in Pirshagi settlement of Sabunchu district for the purpose of sustainable water supply to the population.

There were no centralized water supply systems in Pirshagi settlement of Sabunchu district. Although several small projects were implemented in Pirshagi settlement in 2011-2020 due to the internal resources of “Azersu” OJSC, there were difficulties in water supply of some addresses.

Taking into account the increase in demand for drinking water due to the expansion of residential areas in Pirshagi settlement in recent years, the Jeyranbatan-Mashtagha water pipeline is being built in two directions - 110 and 500 mm in diameter, a total of 2.4 km long transmission mains. As a result of the project, the residents of the settlement will be provided with sustainable and quality drinking water at the expense of a new source.

After the commissioning of the main water line, the renovation of the old lines in the settlement, which were built individually by the population, do not meet construction standards and are no longer serviceable, will begin.

It should be noted that, new projects are being implemented in Absheron, Binagadi, Sabail, Surakhani, Khazar districts to improve drinking water supply.
