The drinking water supply of the population is being improved in the 20th residential area of Sabail district

Azersu Open Joint Stock Company continues to implement projects to improve the supply of drinking water to the population in Baku and surrounding settlements. Reconstruction of the drinking water network is being carried out in the area called Demirchilar, 20th residential area of Sabail district, due to the internal resources of the Joint-Stock Company.

There was no centralized drinking water network in the area called Demirchiler Water supply was provided by networks created individually by the residents and did not meet construction standards. Accidents often occurred on water lines that had fallen into disrepair, and there were difficulties in providing drinking water to the population. Until now, residents were provided with drinking water for only 2 hours a day. In some cases, residents had to buy water by trucks.

Taking into account all this, it was decided to create a new network in the area. Within the framework of the project, more than 1 km of drinking water network was created in the area and 150 individual houses and facilities were connected to the network. Currently, measures to provide subscribers with meters is in progress. The project is expected to be completed in the coming days.

After the implementation of the new project, residents will be provided with drinking water on a daily basis. By the way, until now, drinking water was supplied to the area from the "North" pumping station. The new network will be connected to the line separated from the +220 Badamdar reservoir and water supply will be self-flowing. As a continuation of this project, reconstruction, repair and adjustment works will be continued in other streets of the 20th residential area.

It should be noted that, at present, due to internal resources of “Azersu” OJSC, projects are being implemented in Sabail region, Binagadi, Sabunchu, Surakhani, Khazar regions, as well as in villages and settlements of Hajigabul, Saatli, Tovuz, Bilasuvar regions to improve drinking water supply.
