Water supply system of Hindarkh settlement of Agjabadi under reconstruction
“Azersu” OJSC pays special attention to implementation of water supply and sewerage project in Baku as well as in the regions. Large-scale works on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the regions are being carried out following “State Program on social – economical development of the regions of Azerbaijan Republic in 209-2013 years”. This program includes regional centers, as well as settlements and villages.
According to the Action Plan approved by “Azersu” OJSC 2 Nos subartesian well were drilled, water tank with the capacity of 25m3 was installed and 2km long water line was laid in the frame of improvement project of water supply and sewerage systems in Agjabadi. Presently Hindarkh settlement with 8431 population is provided with drinking water from subartesian wells.
The chairman of “United Sukanal” LLC of “Azersu” OJSC Etibar Mammadov, head of Agjabadi region Executive power Shahin Mamamdov and representatives of the public attended to the opening ceremony of the new subartesian well in Agjabadi Hindarkh settlement.
The chairman of “United Sukanal” LLC Etibar Mammadov said that one of the subartesian wells drilled on the project is being put into operation and thus water supply systems of more over 250 families or 1000 residents will be substantially improved. In the near future commissioning of the second subartesian well will improve drinking water supply and sewerage systems of more over 300 families or 1250 people. Recalling that the project works will be carried out at expense of the loan allocated by Asia Development Bank E.Mammadov said that the construction works will be started by the end of 2012.
Remembering that “Azersu” OJSC carries out large-scaled measures for improvement of drinking water supply in Agjabadi Shahin Mammadov, the head of Agjabadi region Executive power said that 10 Nos subartesian wells will be drilled in 6 villages where lack of drinking water is observed.
Note that “Azersu” OJSC carried out some projects for improving the water supply of villages and settlements. In 6 settlements of for internally displaced people of Jabrayil in Bilasuvar district, Tulu and Hanifa villages in Balakan, Eynibulag on Siyazan and Sabir settlement in Shamakhi water supply system was reconstructed, new water lines were laid and reservoirs were constructed. At the same time such projects is carried out in villages and settlements of Agdam, Fuzuli, Tartar, Astara and other districts.
According to the tasks given by the head of the state at the Cabinet of Ministers’ meeting under chairmanship of honorable President Ilham Aliyev dedicated to the results of socio-economic development of the first quarter of 2012 and forthcoming tasks on April 16 water supply and sewerage systems projects will be carried out in rural and rayons’ centers as well as villages. Firstly water problem of all towns and rayons’ centers as well as near villages and settlement will be solved, at the next stage such projects will be carried out in other regions.
